Two sources tell Variety that the pop star has inked a new deal with RCA. The sources say that Larsson was entertaining offers from multiple labels but that Sony, which houses subsidiaries Epic and RCA, wanted to keep her on the roster, so they worked out a deal for her to be on RCA.

Representatives for Epic and RCA did not respond to multiple attempts for comment or confirmation.

Larsson has called Epic home for more than a decade, signing to the imprint in 2013 and releasing her breakthrough international album “So Good” in 2017. Over the years, she stuck with the label for her 2021 album “Poster Girl” and its follow-up “Venus” in 2024, though she failed to make a significant impact on the charts.

But the long game paid off last year, as “Midnight Sun,” her fifth album, sparked an unexpected surge for Larsson, who scored several viral hits including the project’s title track, her 2015 single “Lush Life,” and “Stateside,” her collaboration with PinkPantheress.

As her singles began to percolate on the charts, Larsson toured the world on her “Midnight Sun” tour, with demand rising to the point that several venues for shows in Australia were upgraded to accommodate the growing interest. Larsson, who is currently on tour through the beginning of November, managed to find time to record and release the remix album “Midnight Sun: Girls Trip” in early May, featuring guest appearances by Shakira, Kehlani, Tyla, Robyn, and many more.
