Todrick Hall’s “Midnight” will make its North American premiere this fall off Broadway at the Daryl Roth Theatre following two sold-out engagements in London.

Joining Hall in the cast will be Jeremy Beloate (“The Voice”), Jimmy Brewer (“Shucked”), Kennedy Caughell (“Hell’s Kitchen”), Dwayne Clark (“Shucked”), Sidney DuPont (Tony Award nominee, “Paradise Square”), Ayana George (“MJ The Musical”), Autumn Hurlbert (“Tammy Faye”), Kolbi Jordan (“American Idol”), Sarah Lynn Marion (“Ordinary Days”), Ciaran McCarthy (“Kinky Boots”) and Charlotte Odusanya (The Wiz).
Hall wrote the show and directs and choreographs it. “Midnight” is set in the American South during the 19th century. It features a wholly sung-through score that blends gospel, rhythm and blues, pop, rock, folk, opera, and musical theatre, and follows twelve interconnected lives, six Black characters and six white characters, whose relationships challenge the worlds they have inherited and the assumptions they carry.
Performances will begin Sept. 12 with an official opening night set for Sept. 27. The limited engagement is scheduled to run through Nov. 8.

Hall came to fame on “American Idol” and through YouTube. He became a resident choreographer and judge on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” and appeared on Broadway in “Waitress,” “Kinky Boots” and “Chicago.”
