\n\tThe reunion we\u2019ve all been waiting for is finally official: the \u201cRomy and Michele\u201d sequel, starring Oscar winner Mira Sorvino and Emmy winner Lisa Kudrow, is now in production.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 1997 cult classic comedy \u201cRomy and Michele\u2019s High School Reunion\u201d starred Sorvino and Kudrow as two unsuccessful 28-year-olds who invent fake careers to impress their former classmates at their 10-year high school reunion. In the decades since, the actors have fielded questions about a follow-up movie, until last year, when it was reported that they were in final talks to star in a sequel movie, directed and produced by Tim Federle (\u201cHigh School Musical: The Musical: The Series\u201d) and written by Robin Schiff, who created the characters and penned the original 1997 film.<\/p>\n

\n\tThat project is now officially a go, with the 20th Century Studios film to stream exclusively as a Hulu Original on Hulu. The film will be available via Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S., and on Disney+ internationally.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to Sorvino and Kurdrow, returning from the original movie are Janeane Garofalo (as Heather), Alan Cumming (Sandy Frink), Camryn Manheim (Toby), and Julia Campbell (Christie).<\/p>\n

\n\tJoining the cast are Keegan-Michael Key (\u201cThe Super Mario Galaxy Movie,\u201d \u201cOnly Murders in the Building\u201d), Rob Huebel (\u201cFive Star Weekend,\u201d \u201cRunning Point\u201d), Breckin Meyer (\u201cRoad Trip,\u201d \u201cClueless\u201d), Patrick Warburton (\u201cBee Movie\u201d), and Nathan Lee Graham (\u201cMid-Century Modern,\u201d \u201cTheater Camp\u201d). The new characters\u2019 roles are being kept under wraps.<\/p>\n

\n\tProducer Laurence Mark returns for the sequel, as does executive producer Barry Kemp. Sorvino, Kudrow, and Schiff will also executive produce. Kimberly McCullough serves as co-producer. Sarah Shepard is overseeing the project for 20th Century Studios. The creative team includes director of photography Marco Fargnoli, production designer Hillary Gurtler, returning costume designer Mona May and editor Brian Olds.<\/p>\n
