\n\tEven Tom Hanks didn\u2019t know that Taylor Swift recorded an original song for \u201cToy Story 5\u201d until hours before it dropped.<\/p>

\n\t\u201cIt was top secret,\u201d Hanks told Variety<\/em> at the Los Angeles premiere of \u201cToy Story 5\u201d on Wednesday night. \u201cWe did not know until, literally, when the moment came. They ushered us into a soundproof room and said, \u2018Tonight at 9 p.m., the true end titles song is going to drop, and it\u2019s by Taylor Swift.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018You guys kept this from us all?\u2019 And we saw the movie without [the song], we had some dummy thing in there.\u201d\n\n\t\n\n<\/p>\n

\n\tHanks added that it was a \u201cdelight\u201d to have a global superstar like Swift involved with the film.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n

\n\tHanks said, \u201cThat\u2019s like saying, \u2018By the way, Judy Garland is singing \u201cOver the Rainbow\u201d at the beginning of this.\u2019 That kind of thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAlthough Disney dropped plenty of hints at Swift\u2019s involvement in \u201cToy Story 5,\u201d her track, \u201cI Knew It, I Knew You,\u201d wasn\u2019t officially unveiled until June 1. The reveal was ushered by a \u201cToy Story\u201d themed countdown clock that appeared on the popstar\u2019s website that same day.<\/p>

\n\t\u201cToy Story 5\u201d sees Woody, Jessie and Buzz face off against a new technological threat to their precious playtime with their kid, Bonnie. Joan Cusack and Tim Allen return to the voice cast along with Hanks. New cast members include Greta Lee, Keanu Reeves, Craig Robinson, Alan Cumming, Conan O\u2019Brien and Bad Bunny.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt the beginning of \u201cToy Story 5,\u201d Woody is away from his pals while saving toys that were discarded by their owners. The wear and tear of his adventures left him with a bald spot under his cowboy hat. Hanks said when he learned Woody was going bald, it felt like a natural part of the toy\u2019s life cycle.\n\n\t\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThat hat goes on, that hat goes on, that hat goes on and off,\u201d Hanks said. \u201cIt\u2019s a hard rubber hat, and eventually\u2026 hey, man, a little of the right color Sharpie will make that bald spot go away. And the stuffing seems to need to be pushed up every now and again, but it is an organic material in there. It\u2019s physics, man, it\u2019s physics.\u201d<\/p>
