\n\tKane\u2019s death was confirmed in a statement posted to Facebook by his talent agency Galactic Productions.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cToday we say goodbye to Tom Kane \u2014 a legendary voice actor whose work shaped the childhoods and imaginations of millions around the world,\u201d the statement read. \u201cFrom his unforgettable performances in \u2018Star Wars\u2019 to countless animated series, documentaries and games, Tom brought wisdom, strength, humor and heart to every role he touched. His voice became part of our lives, our memories, and the stories we carry with us.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe statement concluded: \u201cThough his voice may now be silent, the characters, stories, and love he gave to the world will live on forever. Rest in peace, Tom Kane. Thank you for everything. May the Force be with you, always.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tOver the course of Kane\u2019s long career, he voiced iconic characters like Yoda (in addition to other characters) in \u201cStar Wars: The Clone Wars\u201d and Admiral Ackbar in \u201cStar Wars: The Last Jedi.\u201d He voiced Professor Utonium in Cartoon Network\u2019s \u201cThe Powerpuff Girls\u201d from 2016 to 2019.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tKane also leant his voice to a number of video games, including the \u201cCall of Duty\u201d franchise, \u201cHarry Potter: Magic Awakened,\u201d \u201cLego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga\u201d and \u201cMarvel Future Revolution,\u201d among many others.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to the actor\u2019s IMDb, he began doing voiceover work at just 15 in Kansas City, his hometown.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tIn 2020, Variety <\/em>reported that Kane had suffered a stroke that left him largely unable to speak.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tThe statement also nodded to Kane\u2019s reputation as a family man. \u201cBut beyond the incredible career was an extraordinary man,\u201d it read. \u201cTom was a devoted husband and father who, alongside his wife, built a loving family of nine children \u2014 three biological and six welcomed through adoption and fostering.
