\nTyler Mane, the professional wrestler turned actor whose best known for playing Sabretooth in the original \u201cX-Men\u201d movie, announced on Instagram that he\u2019s been diagnosed with a super-rare form of breast cancer.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI have some bad news: I start chemo today. One in 750 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and I\u2019m one of them,\u201d Mane announced in a video posted on his Instagram page.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYep. I have breast cancer. And yep, it\u2019s super rare. Only 1% of breast cancers are men,\u201d the actor added in the post\u2019s capation. \u201cI\u2019ll be honest, my first reaction was to keep it secret. I mean it\u2019s kind of embarrassing. But then I found out that men are more likely to be diagnosed in advance stages BECAUSE it\u2019s not talked about and not looked for. In fact, my doctors all dismissed it and it was only because my wife pushed me to get the lump removed that I got in early.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMane encouraged his followers to \u201cstart talking about it\u201d because \u201c1 in 755 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and if caught early, it\u2019s VERY treatable.\u201d He later posted a second video on Instagram in which he thanked his fans for their support.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI greatly appreciate it. I got this. I\u2019m gonna kick cancer\u2018s ass,\u201d Mane said. \u201cThank you for coming along for the journey. We need to spread the awareness. Cancer sucks but if you catch it quick enough, you can win this battle.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMane returned as Sabretooth in 2024\u2019s \u201cDeadpool & Wolverine.\u201d His other prominent acting roles include \u201cTroy\u201d (2004), the Max series \u201cDoom Patrol\u201d (2022\u20132023) and playing the slasher icon Michael Myers in Rob Zombie\u2019s \u201cHalloween\u201d (2007) and \u201cHalloween II\u201d (2009).<\/p>\n
