\nShowbox, the Korean studio behind theatrical blockbusters including \u201cExhuma\u201d and the Netflix series \u201cA Killer Paradox,\u201d has signed a co-production deal with ReelShort to develop original microdramas for the platform\u2019s more than 70 million monthly active users worldwide.<\/p>\n

\n\tUnder the agreement, Showbox will initially co-produce microdramas based on ReelShort\u2019s existing intellectual properties, with the collaboration set to expand into original titles developed by Showbox. All content will be distributed exclusively on ReelShort. The first titles to emerge from the deal are \u201cTell Me Not to Love You,\u201d \u201cMy Secret Lover Is His Brother,\u201d and \u201cQueen Never Cry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cBy combining ReelShort\u2019s global platform competitiveness with Showbox\u2019s content development and production capabilities, which have been at the forefront of K-content, we will deliver high-quality short-form dramas and use them as a foundation to expand into a wider range of genres and formats,\u201d Showbox said in a statement. \u201cWe will use this collaboration as an opportunity to create new success stories in the global market and further strengthen our content competitiveness.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShowbox entered the short-form drama space in December 2025, when it began production on \u201cBridal Shower: The Missing Bride\u201d and \u201cThe Fallen Idol Is Possessed!\u201d The ReelShort partnership represents a significant step-up in the studio\u2019s ambitions in the format.<\/p>\n

\n\tFounded in 2022 by Crazy Maple Studio, ReelShort operates across more than 100 countries. Showbox\u2019s theatrical track record includes \u201cAssassination\u201d (2015), \u201cA Taxi Driver\u201d (2017), and \u201cExhuma\u201d (2024), as well as the 2026 release \u201cThe King\u2019s Warden.\u201d The studio also formed a strategic partnership last year with M Studio, one of Thailand\u2019s leading film production and distribution companies.<\/p>\n
