\nHulu has added four new cast members to the upcoming legal drama series \u201cConviction.\u201d <\/p>\n

\nVariety<\/em> has learned exclusively that Linda Emond has been cast in a series regular role, while Zainab Jah, Ashley Zukerman and Jose Z\u00fa\u00f1iga have all joined in recurring guest star roles. The new additions join previously announced lead Elisabeth Moss as well as fellow cast members Jimmi Simpson, Sebastian De Souza, and Adam Godley. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe show is based on the Jack Jordan novel of the same name and was greenlit at the streamer in February.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe logline for \u201cConviction\u201d states, \u201cCriminal Defense Attorney Neve Harper (Moss), a confident lawyer, finally has her shot at a career-making case: a high-profile murder where the husband is accused of killing his wife by setting their home on fire. But when a mysterious stranger begins blackmailing Neve, she is forced to compromise every legal, moral, and ethical obligation to gain an acquittal \u2013 or else risk her dark secrets being exposed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tExact character details aside from Moss\u2019 are being kept under wraps. <\/p>\n

\n\tEmond\u2019s past TV credits include \u201cThe Gilded Age,\u201d \u201cThe Patient,\u201d \u201cOnly Murders in the Building,\u201d \u201cMadam Secretary,\u201d and \u201cThe Good Wife\u201d as well as \u201cThe Good Fight.\u201d She has also been in films like \u201cAcross the Universe,\u201d \u201cCity by the Sea,\u201d \u201cNorth Country,\u201d and \u201cCauseway.\u201d Emond is a three-time Tony Award nominee and currently stars in the Broadway play \u201cBecky Shaw.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tJah recently appeared in the John Wick spinoff series \u201cThe Continental\u201d as well as films like \u201cDrift\u201d and \u201cAll Dirt Roads Taste of Salt.\u201d She has appeared in TV shows like \u201cOnly Murders in the Building,\u201d \u201cThe Good Lord Bird,\u201d and \u201cHomeland.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tZukerman has starred in shows such as \u201cManhattan\u201d and \u201cThe Lost Symbol\u201d while he has also had roles in shows like \u201cSuccession\u201d and \u201cDesignated Survivor.\u201d He also appeared in the Apple show \u201cSilo,\u201d with the third season of that series due out in July. In film, he has starred in all three films in the \u201cFear Street\u201d franchise. <\/p>\n

\n\tZ\u00fa\u00f1iga has been seen in series like \u201cNarcos: Mexico,\u201d \u201cGriselda,\u201d \u201cWestworld,\u201d \u201cCSI,\u201d and \u201cPhysical.\u201d In film, he is known for features like \u201cSound of Freedom,\u201d \u201cThe Life List,\u201d and \u201cAlone at Dawn.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tEmond is repped by CAA. Jah is repped by IAG and\u00a0Rob Kolker Management. Zukerman is repped by Gersh, EMG, and Lisa Mann Creative Management. Z\u00fa\u00f1iga is repped by SBD Partners and Prime Talent Media. <\/p>\n

\n\tDavid Shore is adapting \u201cConviction\u201d for the small screen and will also serve as showrunner and executive producer. Moss is also executive producing under her Love & Squalor Pictures banner in addition to starring. Warren Littlefield, who worked with Moss and Hulu on both \u201cThe Handmaid\u2019s Tale\u201d and \u201cThe Testaments,\u201d will executive produce for The Littlefield Co.<\/p>\n

\n\tShore is executive producing under his Shore Z Productions banner along with Erin Gunn. Jordan is also an executive producer, as are Ann Johnson and Lisa Harrison of The Littlefield Co. Bert Salke executive produces via Co-Lab21 along with Lindsey McManus of Love & Squalor. 20th Television is the studio. Both Shore and Littlefield are currently under overall deals with 20th TV, while Jordan has a multi-year development deal there as well.<\/p>\n
