The show is currently in production from Disney Kids &amp; Family and Higher Ground.<\/p>\n<p>Per the logline, \u201cWhen the energy shield protecting her city begins to fail, Journey answers a mysterious call that leads her beyond its walls \u2014 and into the forbidden lands beyond. In this new world, she uncovers the truth about her father\u2019s disappearance and discovers a powerful magic within herself that may hold the key to saving her people.\u201d\u202f<\/p>\n<p>From Disney Kids &amp; Family and produced by ICON Creative Studio in association with Disney Television Animation, \u201cJourney\u201d is created by Matt Munn (\u201cIce Age: Collision Course,\u201d \u201cSpies in Disguise\u201d), who will serve as executive producer alongside Steve Loter (\u201cMarvel\u2019s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur,\u201d \u201cKim Possible\u201d). Jessie Dicovitsky is an executive producer for Higher Ground.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018Journey\u2019 is an epic adventure anchored by a remarkable young heroine whose courage inspires those around her,\u201d said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Kids &amp; Family. \u201cAt its core, it\u2019s a story about resilience, self-discovery and the power of believing in something bigger than yourself \u2014 the kind of universal themes that have defined Disney stories for generations.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dicovitsky, who is head of television at Higher Ground, added, \u201cCombining adventure, imagination and music, \u2018Journey\u2019 is a true original that takes bold swings.
