\n\t\u201cThe Pitt,\u201d \u201cThe Simpsons,\u201d \u201cThe Chair Company\u201d and \u201cMountainhead\u201d were among the big winners as the Banff World Media Festival announced winners on Tuesday for the 2026 Rockie Awards International Program Competition. Hosted by Allana Harkin (\u201cFull Frontal With Samantha Bee\u201d), the event took place at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Alberta, Canada, at the same time as the Banff Gala Awards.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Rockie Awards this year featured 151 nominees from 21 countries across 29 categories, while the Banff Gala Awards recognizes top creative talent and executives \u2014 which this year included Jason Priestley (Canadian Award of Distinction), Tantoo Cardinal (Career Achievement Award), Mae Martin (Creative Voice Award) and Ken Jeong (Sir Peter Ustinov Award). Also, Spain was named this year\u2019s Country of Honor.<\/p>\n

\n\tNew categories focused on outstanding drama and comedy performances. For drama, that included winner Malin \u00c5kerman (\u201cThe Hunting Wives\u201d), as well as Jacob Elordi (\u201cThe Narrow Road to the Deep North\u201d), James Nelson-Joyce (\u201cThis City is Ours\u201d), Narges Rashidi (\u201cPrisoner 951\u201d) and Amanda Seyfried (\u201cLong Bright River\u201d).<\/p>\n

\n\tAnd in comedy, that included Mawaan Rizwan (\u201cJuice\u201d), Timothy Spall (\u201cDeath Valley\u201d), and Nabhaan Rizwan, Suranne Jones and winner Aimee Lou Wood, all from \u201cFilm Club.\u201d<\/p>\n
