\n\tFollowing a highly competitive bidding war, the streamer landed the film rights to Averick\u2019s \u201cPhoebe Berman\u2019s Gonna Lose It,\u201d which has spent two weeks on the New York Times\u2019 bestseller list since its May 26 release.<\/p>\n

\n\tPer the official description for Averick\u2019s book, \u201cPhoebe Berman fears the one thing she wants the most: love. Thanks to an extremely unfortunate first kiss attempt, crippling intimacy anxiety has plagued her since she was a teen. Phoebe has so much going for her: a dream teaching job, a supportive and hilarious group of best friends, and all the romance novels a girl could want at her fingertips\u2014but she can\u2019t help but beat herself up over the one thing she can\u2019t quite seem to figure out. Determined to change this, she drafts up the ultimate \u2018Guide to Losing My Virginity\u2019 checklist with the hope of finally getting laid. Suddenly, she goes from a relatively boring (basically non-existent) dating life to juggling three romantic prospects at once.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Nightingale\u201d producer Elizabeth Cantillon is attached to produce from a script written by \u201cBook Lovers\u201d screenwriter Sarah Heyward. Podcaster and comedian Averick will executive produce.<\/p>\n

\n\tAverick, who boasts more than 1.5 million followers across social media platforms, is co-host of TMG Studios\u2019 talk-show \u201cBrooke and Connor Make a Podcast\u201d alongside Connor Wood, and formerly hosted the solo podcast \u201cObsessed with Brooke Averick.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCantillon is producer on the two upcoming buzzy book adaptations: Kristin Hannah\u2019s bestseller \u201cThe Nightingale,\u201d starring Elle and Dakota Fanning for TriStar Pictures, and \u201cThe Love Hypothesis,\u201d based on Ali Hazelwood\u2019s bestselling novel for Amazon. Previously, Cantillon was an executive vice president at Sony overseeing films including the James Bond franchise, \u201cThe Social Network,\u201d \u201cCaptain Phillips\u201d and \u201cEat Pray Love.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHeyward is currently writing an original feature for \u201cChicken Shop Date\u201d star Amelia Dimoldenberg, Gloria Sanchez and Orion. She recently completed the script for the film adaptation of Emily Henry\u2019s \u201cBook Lovers\u201d for Tango Entertainment. On the TV side, Heyward is writing \u201cSweet Valley High\u201d for Paramount+ and serves as a co-executive producer on \u201cNobody Wants This\u201d Season 3 at Netflix.<\/p>\n

\n\tAverick, Cantillon and Heyward are represented by UTA.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe deal for the film rights to \u201cPhoebe Berman\u2019s Gonna Lose It,\u201d which closed ahead of the novel\u2019s publication, was brokered by UTA on behalf of the author.<\/p>\n
