Comedians and \u201cLas Culturistas\u201d podcast co-hosts Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang brought their annual Las Culturistas Culture Awards back for the fifth time on Wednesday, marking the second year the comedy variety special has been televised on Bravo.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHonoring all things pop culture, the evening featured a number of splashy performances, celebrity appearances (Will Ferrell, Hannah Berner, RuPaul, Hannah Einbinder and more were in attendance) and, of course, laughter.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cWe\u2019ve been packing into the gills in our free time, which has been really nice,\u201d Yang told <em>Variety <\/em>on the carpet. \u201cI love getting lost in the process, losing track of time.\u201d The key to the humor, though, might just be the spontaneity of it all. \u201cWe rehearse enough \u2014 but you don\u2019t want to do it <em>too<\/em> much,\u201d Rogers told <em>Variety. <\/em>\u201cYou want to keep it fun and fresh, and in a way, but not lose what\u2019s good about the things.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe clear superstar of the evening was Miss Piggy, or the \u201cthe grand dame diva of culture, divehood, &amp; porcine glamour,\u201d per Yang and Rogers, who received both a standing ovation and, undoubtedly, the strongest applause of the night. In preparing for the evening, Yang and Rogers told <em>Variety <\/em>they\u2019d been able to spend a good amount of time with heR. \u201cShe is so classically an old and new Hollywood diva \u2014 she\u2019s gonna hate that I said old \u2014 but she\u2019s a diva for all time, eternally a diva, and I think she is a professional,\u201d said Yang. \u201cShe\u2019ll say the line, she\u2019ll hit her marks like a pro.\u201d \u201cShe\u2019s the biggest star in any room, truly, and she will be tonight,\u201d added Rogers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tBelow, <em>Variety <\/em>breaks down the night\u2019s biggest moments.<\/p>\n<div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<article>\n<h2>Rogers and Yang open the show \u201cHeated Rivalry\u201d-style\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p><!-- do not apply CSS styles to this element! --><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tCould it really be considered culture\u2019s biggest night if \u201cHeated Rivalry\u201d <em>weren\u2019t<\/em> included? The answer was decidedly \u201cNo\u201d during the awards, which opened with an incredibly entertaining ode to the Crave-HBO Max series.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn a spoof on one of the show\u2019s many text-message montages, the screen displayed humorous takes on Ilya Rosanov and Shane Hollander\u2019s chats, including \u201cWhat\u2019s a girl to do on a lonely night in Los Angeles\u201d and \u201cIt feels better without a mouth guard.\u201d Rogers and Yang \u2014 clad in hockey jerseys \u2014 performed t.A.T.u.\u2019s \u201cAll the Things She Said,\u201d featuring backup dancers in full hockey attire. Plus, \u201cThe Hunting Wives\u201d stars Brittany Snow and Malin Akerman took to the stage and enjoyed an impassioned smooch before joining in on the performance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<article>\n<h2>Rachel Zegler covers Addison Rae\u2019s \u201cFame is a Gun,\u201d Mandy Moore performs \u201cOnly Hope\u201d<\/h2>\n<p><!-- do not apply CSS styles to this element! --><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tThe evening featured more than a few well-executed musical numbers, with Rachel Zegler\u2019s rendition of \u201cFame is a Gun\u201d by Addison Rae and Mandy Moore\u2019s performance of \u201cOnly Hope\u201d from the beloved film \u201cA Walk to Remember\u201d being the highlights of the night (and receiving the loudest applause). In fact, cheers for Zegler were so loud it caused the actress to miss her cue to start singing the first time around (something you won\u2019t see on Bravo). An honorable mention goes to \u201cHacks\u201d star Meg Stalter, who performed her song \u201cPrettiest Girl in America,\u201d and gave attendees an encore at the afterparty.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAll the aforementioned songs were up for Record of the Year, which also included nominations for the \u201cPok\u00e9mon\u201d theme \u201cGotta Catch \u2018Em All!\u201d and t.A.T.u.\u2019s \u201cAll the Things She Said.\u201d (Spoiler alert: the last one took home the gold.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<article>\n<h2>Ciara Miller wins the Allison Williams Cool Girl Award\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p><!-- do not apply CSS styles to this element! --><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tIt\u2019s only right that Ciara Miller, the Bravo It girl of the moment thanks to the still-unfolding \u201cSummer House\u201d scandal, took home the Allison Williams Cool Girl award. Presented by Ziwe, Miller was up against some big hitters: Rosalina (yes, the character from \u201cMario\u201d), Chase Infiniti, Chase Sui Wonders and \u201cA Court of Thorns and Roses\u201d character Feyre Archeron. Fittingly, Paige DeSorbo, fellow Bravolebrity and last year\u2019s Cool Girl winner, was in the audience cheering Miller on when she took the stage and delivered a pointed acceptance speech.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tMiller opened her remarks with this fabulous quip: \u201cDespite being utterly disappointed in everyone around me, yes, I am so fucking cool.\u201d She continued: \u201cObviously this year has been a little rough,\u201d referencing the \u201cSummer House\u201d madness. \u201cBut, you know what they say, the best revenge is winning the Allison Williams Cool Girl award,\u201d she continued, \u201cAnd booking \u2018Love Island USA,\u2019 and being in Shaboozey\u2019s music video that comes out on June 5, and also being a registered nurse, and a model\u2026 I\u2019m ad libbing at this point.\u201d (I\u2019ll add another accolade she forgot \u2014 an upcoming \u201cDancing With the Stars\u201d contestant.) \u201cIf you hear bad news, be sure to be outside the Herm\u00e8s store. The reality TV icon took to the Las Culturistas stage throughout the evening, each time modeling one of the five ensembles nominated for Outfit of the Year. First up \u2014 Aunt Gladys from \u201cWeapons,\u201d followed by Jacob Elordi leaving an airport. (The \u201cEuphoria\u201d actor\u2019s travel style has long been papped; the exact look chosen for the nomination showed Elordi donning a green baseball cap, headphones, a white tee, black slacks and a spacious brown Bottega tote.)\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\tNext, Rinna traded her signature hairstyle for a blonde wig to embody Carolyn Bassette\u2019s argument chic outfit, and then gave a convincing performance as Billie Elish as Justin Bieber\u2019s \u201cOne Less Lonely Girl\u201d at Coachella. And, if you weren\u2019t yet convinced Rinna was a shapeshifter, her final look of the night was as Jeff Probst, \u201cfor the last 50 seasons of \u2018Survivor.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<article>\n<h2>Paul W. Downs ascended from the audience in a costume inspired by the ogre, complete with a little brown vest and green bodypaint. \u201cI\u2019m honored,\u201d he said. \u201cBut I want to say something to all the human women out there. You wanna get with this, it can happen\u2026 Get in my DMs, and make a case.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<article>\n<h2>Lisa Kudrow receives the Lifetime of Culture Award\u00a0<\/h2>\n<p><!-- do not apply CSS styles to this element! --><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\n\tWho better to receive the lifetime of culture award than <em>the <\/em>Lisa Kudrow? The \u201cFriends\u201d star delivered a characteristically humorous speech thanking Rogers and Yang for the honor.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cWinning this Lifetime Culture Award is <em>everything<\/em>,\u201d she began. \u201cNow, those aren\u2019t just words. I know what got me here tonight: It\u2019s a career of meticulous planning to impress Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cThere\u2019s no time for all the details, but \u2018Romy and Michele[\u2018s High School Reunion]\u2019 \u2014 who knew that what Mira [Sorvino] and I were doing was going to be a slam dunk\u00a0 for these guys when they were in grade school,\u201d she continued, to ear-splitting applause. \u201cWhen I auditioned for \u2018Friends\u2019 in 1994, I thought yeah, cute script.
