\nTay Keith (real name: Brytavious Chambers), the Grammy-nominated producer behind such hits as Travis Scott\u2019s \u2018Sicko Mode\u2019 and Drake\u2019s \u2018Nonstop,\u2019 was found dead Thursday in his Nashville apartment, local police confirm.<\/p>\n

\n\tNo cause of death was announced. A report from Nashville police reads:<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cNo foul play is suspected in the death of Brytavious Chambers, 29, also known as Grammy nominated record producer Tay Keith. He was found dead in his Martin St. apt. this afternoon by officers performing a welfare check. His death is unclassified pending autopsy results.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKeith also worked with Eminem, Sexyy Red, Lil Baby, and co-produced BlocBoy JB\u2019s \u201cLook Alive,\u201d and a bonus track from Beyonce\u2019s live \u201cHomecoming\u201d album, \u201cBefore I Let Go.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tA native of Memphis, Tenn., Keith began posting songs to YouTube and hip-hop sites like Datpiff as a teenager. He met BlocBoy JB when he was 14 and the pair began making songs together. A few years later he worked with rapper Black Youngsta on his \u201cFuck Everybody\u201d mixtape, but broke into the mainstream with BlocBoy JB\u2019s 2018 hit \u201cRover.\u201d Later that year, he helmed \u201cNever Recover,\u201d by Lil Baby and Gunna featuring Drake, but \u201cSicko Mode,\u201d also release in 2018, was when he truly arrrived. <\/p>\n

\n\tHe was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2019 for that song, and in 2024 for Drake and 21 Savage\u2019s \u201cRich Flex.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe was named producer of the year at BMI\u2019s R&B\/Hip-Hop Awards three times, most recently in 2024 for his work on \u201cFirst Person Shooter\u201d by Drake featuring J. Cole, \u201cMeltdown\u201d by Travis Scott featuring Drake, \u201cSkeeYee\u201d by Sexyy Red and \u201cCirco Loco\u201d by Drake and 21 Savage. He was also named BMI\u2019s R&B\/Hip-Hop Songwriter of the Year in 2018. <\/p>\n
