\n\t\u201cBallerina\u201d (\u2018Leap!), the animated feature global smash hit, is set to return with a \u201cBallerina\u201d sequel and an animated TV series simultaneously in development.<\/p>\n

\n\tParis-based Good Hero, also behind \u201cFireheart\u201d and the upcoming \u201cWings of Freedom\u201d), will produce the movie sequel \u201cBallerina 2,\u201d with what it describes as an ambitious expansion of the \u201cBallerina\u201d universe across multiple media platforms, including film, television, and digital including YouTube.Good Hero heads Gregory Ouanhon (\u201cSisu,\u201d \u201cValerian and the City of a Thousand Planets,\u201d \u201cReplicas\u201d) and Laurent Zeitoun (\u201cFireheart,\u201d \u201cThe Intouchables,\u201d \u201cThe Death of Stalin\u201d) are set to produce the film with Laurent Zeitoun, who wrote the screenplay, directing. Production on the film starts this month.<\/p>\n

\nGaumont returns as the French and international theatrical distributor, with a planned global release scheduled for late 2029.<\/p>\n

\n\tVoiced in English by Elle Fanning and Dane DeHaan and in France by Camille Cottin and Malik Bentalha, the original \u2018Ballerina\u2019 (2016) grossed grossed $120 million across more than 100 countries worldwide.<\/p>\n
