\n\tActor-producer Anshuman Jha\u2018s First Ray Films has come on board as a co-producer on \u201cError#404,\u201d an Indian animated feature from Bauddhayan Mukherji and Monalisa Mukherji\u2019s Little Lamb Films, marking the first foray into feature animation for both companies. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe film is among five Indian projects selected for the MIFA Namaste India Pitch Sessions at the Annecy Animation Festival 2026, where it will be presented to global producers, distributors and financiers this week.<\/p>\n

\n\tJha first encountered the project at the 2025 Kerala Film Market, where director Farah Khatun \u2013 whose previous credits include \u201cHoly Rights\u201d and \u201cI Am Bonnie\u201d \u2013 pitched the film. First Ray Films has now committed to backing the project\u2019s development and international rollout.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cError#404\u201d is set in the dystopian island city of Akara, where a tyrannical ruler has banned the planting of trees. When ten-year-old Gauri stumbles upon a colony of ghosts clinging to the last surviving tree, she is charged with a dangerous mission: defy the regime, plant trees, and save the ghosts from extinction \u2013 with a ragtag band of humans, non-humans and fellow ghosts at her side, armed with magic seeds from the underworld.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film claimed the Best Pitch prize at India\u2019s Animela 2026 ahead of its Annecy selection.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe moment I saw the pitch at the Kerala Film Market and met Farah, I knew this was something special,\u201d Jha said. \u201cIt\u2019s rare to find a story that\u2019s imaginative, entertaining and socially relevant in equal measure. We\u2019re excited to join Bauddhayan and Monalisa on this beautiful journey. I don\u2019t know if films can change the world. I just hope that one day, when my daughter watches this, she\u2019ll know her father tried to tell stories that cared about it. This one\u2019s for her.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLittle Lamb Films\u2019 previous credits span \u201cThe Violin Player,\u201d \u201cManikbabur Megh\u201d (The Cloud & the Man) and \u201cWhispers of Fire & Water.\u201d First Ray Films has built its slate around independent Indian cinema, with titles including \u201cLakadbaggha,\u201d \u201cLord Curzon Ki Haveli\u201d and \u201cBajrangi.\u201d<\/p>\n
