\n\t\u201cLord of the Rings\u201d owner Embracer is set to spin the Tolkien IP as well as other legacy properties such as \u201cTomb Raider\u201d into a separate holding company, Fellowship Entertainment, with chair Lars Wingefors calling its assets \u201camong the most undervalued in the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFellowship Entertainment is set to be listed on Nasdaq Stockholm in 2027 to time with the company\u2019s \u201cnotably stronger product pipeline\u201d that year.<\/p>\n

\n\tThat pipeline includes Prime Video\u2019s adaptation of \u201cTomb Raider,\u201d starring Sophie Turner, which is slated for release in \u201cearly\u201d 2027 while the Warner Bros.-produced, Andy Serkis-directed feature \u201cThe Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum\u201d is set to open in theaters that December.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a letter to shareholders, Wingefors explained that Fellowship Entertainment would be re-positioned as an \u201cIP-led entertainment company\u201d focusing on publishing, licensing and development of brands including \u201cLord of the Rings,\u201d \u201cThe Hobbit,\u201d \u201cTomb Raider,\u201d \u201cKingdom Come: Deliverance\u201d and more.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think the assets held by Fellowship Entertainment are among the most undervalued in the industry and I feel it\u2019s my duty as the largest shareholder to change this and create a structure to realize their full potential,\u201d Wingefors wrote in his letter.<\/p>\n
