\n\tNemo and Dory are back \u2013 in Pixar\u2019s new theatrical short \u201cLoving Dory.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s a new chapter in Dory\u2019s story, because she allows us to have fun,\u201d said director Lou Hamou-Lhadj. This time, she will fall in love \u2013 with a plastic bag.<\/p>\n

\n\tIt wasn\u2019t just about fish, however, as Pixar also brought \u201cGatto\u201d to Annecy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tDirected by Enrico Casarosa, it follows a black cat, Nero, who\u2019s suddenly on his own in Venice \u2013 not to mention he\u2019s running away from a cat mob boss.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tCasarosa is also behind \u201cLuca.\u201d \u201cWe are back in Italy,\u201d he said while presenting first finished scenes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cVenice is our setting. We have a new, very immersive, painterly looks. We like the idea of walking into a painting. Imagine walking into a Van Gogh painting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIn Venice, there used to be tons of cats around the streets. They seemed to rule the place. We loved the idea of showing the secret life of cats of Venice. Nero has to fend for himself and he hasn\u2019t had it easy, because he\u2019s a black cat and everyone is superstitious. He also can\u2019t swim.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThen he meets Rocco, who \u201crules the feline underbelly.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThis gangster life is mixed with cat behavior, he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cRocco has been collecting art \u2013 cat art. Humans are scared of him, so Nero becomes Rocco\u2019s favorite thief. But he gets to the point in his life when he wants out of this life of mischief and danger. As you can imagine, it\u2019s hard to get out. \u2018If you will do this last thing for me, I will let you go,\u2019 says Rocco. It\u2019s a violin.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNero agrees, and meets a talented street musician Maya. And a pigeon, \u201cpassionate member of the union of pigeon rights.\u201d But the violin won\u2019t be easy to steal \u2013 also because Maya is not superstitious.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAs they start spending time together, they discover they have a lot in common \u2013 which threatens Nero\u2019s mission. The big question is: Will he betray here or defy Rocco?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe team worked hard to find a new look.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe created an expressive Venice, both in an emotional way and immersive. It\u2019s very textured. We look for that handcrafted feel. It\u2019s a heightened version of Venice.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film is voiced by Mark Ruffalo and Laurence Fishbourne. Enrico Casarosa will actually voice goofy pigeon Saverio.<\/p>\n
