\n\tBased on Carley Fortune\u2019s bestselling novel \u201cEvery Summer After,\u201d the first season of the drama tells the friends-to-lovers-to-second-chance-romance story of Percy Fraser (Sadie Soverall) and Sam Florek (Matt Cornett).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe two reunite a decade after their breakup (a mysterious incident Percy blames herself for) when Percy returns to the lake town of Barry\u2019s Bay (where Sam and his brother Charlie, played by Michael Bradway, grew up, and where Percy spent her childhood summers) following the passing of Sam and Charlie\u2019s mother, Sue (Elisha Cuthbert).<\/p>\n

\n\tIn Season 2, Amazon confirms \u201cEvery Year After\u201d will shift the focus to Charlie and adapt Fortune\u2019s sequel book, \u201cOne Golden Summer,\u201d while \u201ccontinuing to explore the fan favorite stories and characters from the first season.\u201d<\/p>\n
