\n\tThe show was originally reported to be in the works at Netflix in January 2025, with the streamer picking it up to series in March 2026 with Taylor-Johnson in the lead role. The show is based on the novel of the same name by \u201cCall Me by Your Name\u201d author Andr\u00e9 Aciman. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe official logline states that the show follows Paul, \u201ca man remade by the lovers who ignite and undo him across ten transformative years. It\u2019s an intimate yet sweeping portrait of masculinity, sexuality, and modern love\u2014and in a world of endless choices, it asks the question: will we know when we\u2019ve found the one?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tVikander will star as Claire, to whom Paul gets married in the novel. <\/p>\n

\n\tVikander won the Academy Award for best supporting actress for her work in \u201cThe Danish Girl.\u201d She is also known for starring in films like \u201cEx Machina,\u201d \u201cThe Man from U.N.C.L.E,\u201d \u201cThe Green Knight,\u201d \u201cTomb Raider,\u201d and \u201cIrma Vep.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tAmanda Kate Shuman is attached to write, executive produce, and serve as showrunner. Oliver Hermanus will direct and executive produce. Media Res is the studio, with Michael Ellenberg, Christina Malach, and Lindsey Springer executive producing on behalf of the company. Aciman will executive produce as well alongside Monica Levinson.<\/p>\n

\n\tMedia Res\u2019 current slate includes the Apple TV+ shows \u201cThe Morning Show\u201d and \u201cPachinko.\u201d They also have several upcoming series in the works, including \u201cThe Dealer\u201d at Apple TV starring Jessica Chastain and Adam Driver, and the HBO series \u201cThe Chain\u201d from Damon Lindelof.<\/p>\n
