\n\tElizabethan teen spy Lady Grace Cavendish is set to return for a second season.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Lady Grace Mysteries,\u201d which stars Evie Coles as the world\u2019s first female teen detective working as a private spy for Queen Elizabeth I, launched on BBC children\u2019s network CBBC and streaming platform iPlayer in April.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe second season, comprised of 13 episodes, is set to start shooting next month in the U.K. and Belgium.<\/p>\n

\n\tBased on the children\u2019s detective novels of the same name, the first season saw Lady Grace team up with dashing Lord Osborne (Fintan Buckard) plus her best friends Ellie (Carys John) and Masou (Rafael Alessandro) as they discover the English court is full of plenty of mysteries. <\/p>\n

\n\tIn Season 2, Grace will encounter Elizabeth\u2019s rival, Mary Queen of Scots, as she undertakes a dangerous mission to rescue Sir Francis Drake.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cGrace decides to protect her queen forever by uniting Mary and Elizabeth and putting an end to their feud,\u201d reads the synopsis. \u201cBut she must navigate this new mission whilst dealing with a series of mysteries at court and the continuing challenges of teenage life, including developing feelings for Daniel (Ellie\u2019s brother) who is back at court, which puts pressure on her romantic relationship with Lord Osborne.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tJoining the cast in Season 2 are Amaree Ali (\u201cThe Lazarus Project\u201d) as Daniel Bunting, Imogen Mackie Walker (\u201cSpellbound\u201d) as Mary Queen of Scots, Jack Forsyth-Noble (\u201cDoctor Who\u201d) as Sir Francis Drake,and Joy Tan as Lady Meadows.<\/p>\n

\n\tAnna McCleery returns to lead the writing team with Vicki Lutas and Karissa Hamilton-Bannis. Writers Tasha Dhanraj, Scott Payne, Thabo Mhlatshwa and Rebecca Ramsden join for Season 2.<\/p>\n

\n\tDirector Louise N\u00ed Fhiannachta is also returning, joined by Jordan Hogg.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe series is produced by Cottonwood Media, Coolabi Productions and commissioned by ZDF Studios and BBC Children\u2019s and Education. Federation Kids & Family and ZDF Studios are handling worldwide sales.<\/p>\n
