{"id":3312,"date":"2026-06-30T18:07:23","date_gmt":"2026-06-30T18:07:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/relocationobserver.com\/?p=3312"},"modified":"2026-06-30T18:07:23","modified_gmt":"2026-06-30T18:07:23","slug":"mark-harmon-returning-as-gibbs-in-ncis-origins-season-3-story-arc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/relocationobserver.com\/?p=3312","title":{"rendered":"Mark Harmon Returning as Gibbs in \u2018NCIS: Origins\u2019 Season 3 Story Arc"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<!-- do not apply CSS styles to this element! --><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\nMark Harmon is once again going to play Leroy Jethro Gibbs on the small screen. <em>Variety<\/em> has learned that Harmon will play the iconic character in a season-long arc of the upcoming third season of prequel series \u201cNCIS: Origins.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/relocationobserver.com\/?p=3310\">Inside Netflix\u2019s \u2018Unhinged\u2019 Horror Game, Made in Secret Collaboration With David Fincher and \u2018Weapons\u2019 Director Zach Cregger<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\tPer CBS, Harmon will appear onscreen in every episode of Season 3 as part of a \u201cpresent-day mystery tied to his \u201890s Camp Pendleton days in an action-packed story that unfolds all season long.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\n\tHarmon already narrates every episode of \u201cNCIS: Origins\u201d as Gibbs and serves as an executive producer on the series. He also appeared as the character in a special \u201cNCIS\u201d\/\u201dNCIS: Origins\u201d crossover episode that aired in late 2025 and appeared as Gibbs in the prequel\u2019s 2024 pilot. Still, he has not played the character save for those brief appearances since he departed \u201cNCIS\u201d in 2021. <\/p>\n<p>\n\tHarmon played Gibbs across 18 seasons of \u201cNCIS,\u201d leaving the show in Season 19. The mothership show remains a cornerstone of the CBS lineup, with \u201cOrigins\u201d set to debut its third season Tuesdays this fall. The cast also includes Kyle Schmid, Mariel Molino, Tyla Abercrumbie, Diany Rodriguez and Caleb Foote. Mark Harmon and his son, Sean Harmon, executive produce along with David J.
