\nBeyonc\u00e9 is ringing in July 4 with a treat for her fans, dropping the long-unreleased song \u201cMorning Dew (Donk)\u201d ahead of the 20th anniversary of her sophomore album \u201cB\u2019Day.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMorning Dew (Donk),\u201d which hit streaming services early Saturday morning, begins a 60-day countdown to the reissue of \u201cB\u2019Day\u201d on September 4, which is also Beyonc\u00e9\u2018s birthday. According to a release from Parkwood Entertainment, the song arrives along with a lyric video directed by Cliff Watts that repurposes old footage. It was originally written by Beyonc\u00e9, Pharrell Williams, The-Dream and Darius Dixon, and produced by Beyonc\u00e9 and Williams.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMorning Dew (Donk)\u201d has long been the stuff of legend in the Beyhive. It was reportedly recorded in 2013 and leaked as a snippet in 2021 before hitting the Internet in full two years later. With the official release of \u201cMorning Dew (Donk),\u201d Beyonc\u00e9 marks her first new music in two years as a \u201cdirect nod to her loyal BeyHive to commemorate the upcoming epic celebration of \u2018B\u2019Day,’\u201d says the release.<\/p>\n

\n\tBeyonc\u00e9 initially released \u201cB\u2019Day\u201d on September 4, 2006. The album, which spawned the singles \u201cD\u00e9j\u00e0 Vu,\u201d \u201cRing the Alarm\u201d and \u201cIrreplaceable,\u201d debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling more than 541,000 units in its first week. In April 2007, she released a deluxe edition of the album with five new songs along with the \u201cB\u2019Day Anthology Video Album,\u201d which included 13 music videos.<\/p>\n

\n\tBeyonc\u00e9 last released her Grammy-winning album \u201cCowboy Carter\u201d in 2024. It has long been rumored that her next project, which will conclude her \u201cRenaissance\u201d trilogy, will be a rock record, though Beyonc\u00e9 herself is yet to confirm details around it.<\/p>\n
