\nTom Holland recently told Fandango that he thought director Christopher Nolan hated his performance on his first day filming \u201cThe Odyssey\u201d because he kept calling cut. In reality, Nolan\u2019s cuts were due to the limitations of the Imax cameras he was using. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWorking with the Imax cameras for the first time is an experience,\u201d Holland explained. \u201cIt is unlike anything I have ever seen before, and I didn\u2019t know that it only ran for three minutes. So, I remember you would continue cutting, and I was with Jon [Bernthal], like, \u2018Why does he keep cutting? Why does he keep doing that?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHe added, \u201cAnd in my head, I was like, \u2018Does he not like what we\u2019re doing? What is happening?\u2019 And then, I remember it was actually [stunt coordinator] George Cottle that was like, \u2018No, no, no, there\u2019s only three minutes in the mag.\u2019 I was like, \u2018Oh, thank god.\u2019 I thought I was totally shitting the bed in this scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHolland stars as Telemachus, the son of Matt Damon\u2019s Odysseus, in \u201cThe Odyssey,\u201d which hits theaters on July 17. Other cast members include Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong\u2019o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Elliot Page, Benny Safdie, Mia Goth and John Leguizamo. <\/p>\n

\n\tDespite the wobbly start, Holland told GQ in a recent profile that working with Nolan on \u201cThe Odyssey\u201d was \u201cthe best experience I\u2019ve had on a film set.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWorking with Chris, getting to know him and Emma [Thomas] was absolutely fantastic. I\u2019ve never seen someone that can work the way that they do, and there is a reason why they\u2019re the best in the business for sure,\u201d Holland continued. \u201cTo get a front row seat to that and to be a part of the process and to collaborate with a true master of his craft and learn from him was the best experience I\u2019ve ever had.\u201d<\/p>\n
