It just didn\u2019t feel like the right time, and we were talking about it and feeling into it and praying about it.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\n\tEmily then chimed in. She said that there is \u201cso much to say\u201d about her husband\u2019s dispute with Lively, which started all the way back in 2024. The first damino fell in December of that year, when Lively alleged Baldoni sexually harassed her and tried to orchestrate an online smear campaign against her while filming \u201cIt Ends with Us.\u201d Baldoni was Lively\u2019s director and co-star on that film.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cIt makes it hard to figure out what is right for this specific moment,\u201d she said. \u201cBut what does feel important is that we can genuinely say that we are sitting here today feeling immense gratitude for so many things and so many people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tBaldoni added, \u201cGratitude has saved us.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\n\tAfter two years of silence, Baldoni and Emily felt the need to \u201cshare something,\u201d considering that \u201cthere have been so many painful things spoken into existence\u201d since the bombshell allegations dropped. Baldoni explained that the plan, up until now, was to \u201clet the justice system run its course\u201d and not \u201cadd to the noise.\u201d Emily asserted that \u201cthe facts have spoken for themselves\u201d in the years-long scandal.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/relocationobserver.com\/?p=3815\">LISTEN: Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Fight in France Over Streaming Quotas and Theatrical Windowing Rules<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\tBaldoni went on to thank everyone who \u201chad discernment\u201d and supported him during this difficult chapter. <\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cYou have given your time to fight for us, and thank you does not feel like enough,\u201d he said. \u201cBut we\u2019re here, in large part, because of so many of you and all of our friends and family. One thing that we\u2019ve learned is that when God presses the reset button and everything else is stripped away, that\u2019s when love shows up, and we feel so loved.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAfter Lively\u2019s allegations, Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios shot back with a $400 million defamation lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, accusing her of weaponizing false allegations of sexual assault to take control of the \u201cIt Ends with Us.\u201d That suit was dismissed after a judge ruled that Lively\u2019s accusations were protected by litigation privilege.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tJust before the trial was set to commence in May, Lively dropped her lawsuit and settled with Baldoni and Wayfarer.
