Besides ABC, the 125-nom tally includes Disney Kids &amp; Family, FX, Disney Television Studios (20th Television Animation and 20th Television), Hulu Originals, National Geographic and Onyx Collective, as well as The Walt Disney Studios\u2019 Lucasfilm, Marvel Television, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures. <\/p>\n<p>\n\tAt ABC, perhaps the biggest surprise was the return of \u201cDancing With the Stars\u201d to the reality competition series category, scoring its first nomination there in a decade.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cI mean, what a phenomenon it continues to be, and just an incredible creative showing of great work, and decades of evolving and continuing to be just so top of mind,\u201d OConnell said. \u201cWhen you think about a bit, I would say it\u2019s an overdue nod. And in the game show lane, ABC picked up four of five nominations.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHulu received 22 noms, including for \u201cParadise,\u201d which scored seven nominations (including drama series) and \u201cOnly Murders in the Building,\u201d once again up for outstanding comedy. National Geographic\u2019s 12 noms included \u201cTucci in Italy\u201d (outstanding hosted nonfiction series or special), as well as outstanding Documentary or nonfiction special and outstanding narrator for \u201cOcean with David Attenborough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe 59 Emmy noms for Disney Television Studios (encompassing 20th Television &amp; 20th Television Animation)\u00a0included \u201cBob\u2019s Burgers\u201d and \u201cThe Simpsons\u201d for outstanding animated program; comedy noms for \u201cAbbott Elementary\u201d (shared with Warner Bros. TV), \u201cOnly Murders in the Building\u201d and Netflix\u2019s \u201cNobody Wants This\u201d; limited or anthology series nominations for FX\/Hulu\u2019s \u201cLove Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. &amp; Carolyn Bessette\u201d and Netflix\u2019s \u201cThe Beast in Me\u201d; and outstanding variety special (pre-recorded) for \u201cThe Muppet Show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tMeanwhile, this repped the first year that FX\u2019s linear and streaming outlets \u2014 which have separate oversight \u2014 shared all of its contenders day-and-date. That meant that OConnell\u2019s linear side of the FX equation shared the 23 nominations with John Landgraf\u2019s FX programming oversight, which also can be found on Huly. That included \u201cThe Bear,\u201d \u201cLove Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. &amp; Carolyn Bessette,\u201d \u201cWelcome to Wrexham\u201d and \u201cAlien: Earth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tPreviously, not all FX-branded programming ran on the FX linear channel.
