\nBanijay Entertainment and the Redbird IMI-owned All3Media have completed their $8 billion merger, creating what the two have described as \u201cthe world\u2019s largest independent production company.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDespite Banijay\u2019s Parisian roots, the combined company \u2014\u00a0which will go under the name Banijay Entertainment \u2014\u00a0will be based in All3Media\u2019s home of London, adding a further boost to the U.K.\u2019s creative sector. It will be jointly owned by Banijay Group and RedBird IMI, each holding a 50% stake, and will be consolidated by Banijay Group.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs was already known, Jeff Zucker will serve as Chairman, Marco Bassetti as CEO and Jane Turton as deputy CEO.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe merger brings together two already formidable TV giants, with Banijay behind the likes of \u201cBig Brother\u201d and \u201cPeaky Blinders\u201d and All3Media known for hit shows such as a \u201cThe Traitors.\u201d The new entity has a footprint spanning 25 territories and houses one of the largest content catalogues in the industry, with more than 265,000 hours of content. <\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to the company, on a combined basis, in 2025, the new Banijay Entertainment would have generated over \u20ac4.3 billion ($4.9 billion) in revenues and over $0.8 billion in adjusted EBITDA; with expected costs synergies of around $57 million to be achieved within one year of closing.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe completion of this merger marks a new era in global entertainment and creates a new independent leader in that category,\u201d said Zucker. \u201cWith Marco and Jane we have the finest leadership team anywhere and I am excited to watch the company grow. This also marks a milestone for RedBird IMI, in only its third year, to play such a leading role in the global entertainment stage.\u201d<\/p>\n
