\nMythical, the entertainment company founded by top YouTube creators and talk-show hosts Rhett McLaughlin and Link Neal, promoted Jacob Moncrief to president, overseeing all aspects of the business.<\/p>\n

\n\tMoncrief, who most recently served as chief operating officer, will lead the Mythical business as the company continues to expand across content, commerce, partnerships and distribution. He assumes the role with the recent departure of former Mythical president Brian Flanagan after nearly a decade. Flanagan last month announced that he is forming a technology and business intelligence company serving the creator economy.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cJacob has played an integral role in helping Mythical become the company it is today,\u201d Rhett & Link said in a joint statement. \u201cWhat makes him such a strong leader is that he understands both the business and the creative side of what we do. He\u2019s helped us grow in meaningful ways while protecting the culture and independence that matter most to us. We couldn\u2019t be more excited to have him leading the company into its next chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMoncrief first joined Mythical in 2017, spending nearly five years at the company, most recently serving as SVP of production and operations. In 2021, he served as general manager of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith\u2019s Westbrook Media, where he oversaw production and business operations across a slate of unscripted, digital and branded content projects including Post Malone\u2019s \u201cTwelve Carat Toothache: A VR Experience\u201d for Meta, \u201cClass of \u201988\u201d for Audible, \u201cExposure: for Samsung and Hulu, and \u201cOff Thee Leash With Megan Thee Stallion\u201d for Snapchat.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn January 2024, Moncrief rejoined the company as COO, where he is credited with playing a key role in expanding Mythical\u2019s branded content business and leading strategic initiatives across content, partnerships, distribution and representation. Moncrief was recognized as a member of Variety<\/em>\u2018s 41 Under 40: The New Leaders Class of 2025.<\/p>\n

\n\tMythical\u2019s flagship show is \u201cGood Mythical Morning,\u201d hosted by Rhett & Link, now in its 13th year.
