\nJimmy Kimmel is currently on summer break from hosting his ABC late night talk show, but that\u2019s not stopping him from continuing to take aim at the Republican party. Kimmel\u2019s latest target is Sen. Mitch McConnell, who posted a photo of himself on social media as proof of life amid questions over the 84-year-old politician\u2019s health. McConnell was hospitalized on June 14. <\/p>\n

\n\tMcConnell posted a photo on Instagram of himself in bed posing next to his wife Trump\u2019s former Labor Secretary Elaine Chao. McConnell is holding a copy of Sunday\u2019s edition of The Washington Post, seemingly to confirm the date the photo was taken and to quiet widespread speculation about his deteriorating health. The photo only led to more questions about McConnell\u2019s health as many people doubted the photo\u2019s validity.<\/p>\n

\n\tKimmel mocked McConnell by posting the same exact photo on Instagram with Kimmel\u2019s face apparently photoshopped on to McConnell\u2019s body. The late night host wrote in the caption: \u201cFor those who\u2019ve been asking, I\u2019m feeling great.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn his health update, McConnell wrote: \u201cMy doctors have confirmed that I didn\u2019t break any bones or suffer a concussion. I didn\u2019t have a heart attack or a stroke. I don\u2019t have any tumors or hemorrhages. But I was briefly unconscious and was taken to the hospital. While receiving excellent care over the past several weeks, I\u2019ve also had to deal with a mild case of pneumonia.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tKimmel\u2019s mock photo was widely celebrated on social media. Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas praised the comedian by writing: \u201cYou NEVER miss!\u201d Fellow comedian Will Sasso spoofed the skepticism over McConnell\u2019s photo by commenting: \u201cNot buying it. Kimmel looks way younger in this pic \u2013 was likely taken years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n
