\nWebtoon Productions and Madrid and Los Angeles-based Espotlight have signed a first-look deal to develop Spanish-language film and TV adaptations of Wattpad webnovels, expanding a partnership that has already produced the internationally released \u201cBoulevard\u201d with Sony Pictures International.<\/p>\n

\n\tUnder the deal, Espotlight will receive a first look at Spanish-language stories published on Wattpad, giving the production company access to a pipeline of digital-native IP with established readerships. The partners will jointly identify and develop projects targeting Spanish-speaking markets and wider international audiences.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe pact follows their collaboration with Sony Pictures International on \u201cBoulevard,\u201d based on Flor M. Salvador\u2019s Wattpad series, which has generated more than 160 million reads. The film opened theatrically across Spain, Latin America and the U.S. in April 2026 and is now streaming worldwide exclusively on Prime Video.<\/p>\n

\n\tWebtoon Productions\u2019 Spanish-language adaptations include Ariana Godoy\u2019s \u201cThrough My Window\u201d franchise for Netflix and \u201cFollow My Voice\u201d for Prime Video, as well as \u201cBad Influence\u201d for Netflix and the upcoming \u201cPerfect Liars\u201d for Prime Video. The first \u201cThrough My Window\u201d film spent 18 cumulative weeks among Netflix\u2019s most-watched non-English-language films.<\/p>\n

\n\tWebtoon Productions\u2019 broader slate of Wattpad and Webtoon-based projects includes \u201cSidelined: The QB and Me\u201d with Tubi; \u201cLore Olympus\u201d with Prime Video and The Jim Henson Company; \u201cLove Me Love Me\u201d with Prime Video; \u201cStagtown\u201d with LuckyChap Entertainment; and \u201cLove Advice From the Great Duke of Hell\u201d with Imagine Entertainment.<\/p>\n
