\nCricket properties dominated Ormax Media\u2019s new Ormax StreamView report, with the ICC Men\u2019s T20 World Cup 2026 drawing an estimated 246 million viewers on JioHotstar between January and June 2026, more than any other title tracked in the measurement framework.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Indian Premier League 2026, also streamed on JioHotstar, followed close behind at 228.4 million viewers, ranking second overall. \u201cIndia\u2018s Got Latent\u201d Season 2 and \u201cDhurandhar\u201d placed third and fourth respectively, ahead of a cricket series between India and New Zealand, which rounded out the top five with 30.5 million viewers. Ormax StreamView (OSV), which launched in January 2026, is designed to track long-form content across OTT originals, general entertainment channel (GEC) programming, theatrical films, non-fiction, sports and news, an expansion from the company\u2019s earlier focus on Hindi-language and international originals alone.<\/p>\n

\n\tOrmax founder and chief executive Shailesh Kapoor said the initiative was built to answer a broader question: \u201cWhat is India watching on OTT [streaming]?\u201d Ormax said the ambition reflected how audience behavior had shifted as streaming consumption became \u201cwider and more complex,\u201d with viewers moving fluidly across formats, genres, languages and platforms.<\/p>\n

\n\tOutside cricket, \u201cIndia\u2019s Got Latent\u201d Season 2, distributed via Samay Raina\u2019s YouTube channel and Netflix, led all non-sports properties with a projected lifetime viewership of 38.5 million across 10 episodes. Ranveer Singh starrer \u201cDhurandhar\u201d topped the Hindi theatrical charts at 35.2 million viewers on Netflix and JioHotstar, with its follow-up, \u201cDhurandhar: The Revenge,\u201d projected to reach 27.8 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn the web-series category, \u201cMade in India: A Titan Story\u201d on Amazon MX Player led with 17.8 million viewers, ahead of \u201cChiraiya\u201d on JioHotstar at 16.3 million. Among non-Hindi Indian films, Prabhas starrer \u201cThe RajaSaab\u201d topped the chart with 17.5 million viewers on JioHotstar. In the international content categories, Prime Video\u2019s \u201cOff Campus\u201d led web series with 8 million viewers, while \u201cAvatar: Fire and Ash\u201d topped international films with 7.2 million.<\/p>\n

\n\tOrmax said its viewership estimates are drawn from weekly primary research among a sample of more than 3,000 respondents, combining online surveys with a dedicated audience panel, and are projected using universe figures from the company\u2019s 2025 OTT Audience Report. The figures represent unduplicated individual viewers who watched a title for at least 30 minutes, and exclude overseas viewership as well as short-form video content such as reels and microdrama.<\/p>\n
