Director R. Gowtham and lead actor Karuththadayan will travel to Melbourne for the opening night celebrations and the film\u2019s Australian premiere.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cMembers of the Problematic Family\u201d is also nominated in the festival\u2019s IFFM Awards jury competition, in the best indie film and best director categories.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe film centers on Prabha, a troubled young man whose sudden and unexplained death triggers a ripple effect across his extended family and community. When his mother, uncle and cousins gather for a 16-day mourning ritual, long-buried tensions and complicated family bonds rise to the surface.
