\n\tAnnabel Scholey, the British actress most recently seen in the Disney+ hit \u201cRivals,\u201d has joined the cast of Netflix\u2018s upcoming thriller series \u201cThe Lord\u2019s Day,\u201d now in production in the U.K.<\/p>\n

\nVariety<\/em> understands that Scholey, also known for BBC series \u201cThe Split,\u201d has a key role in the six-part series, based on Michael Dobbs\u2019 2007 novel of the same name and being led by F1 star Damson Idris.<\/p>\n

\n\tAdditional cast members include Harry Lawtey (\u201cIndustry,\u201d \u201cJoker: Folie \u00e0 Deux\u201d), Arsema Thomas (\u201cQueen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story,\u201d \u201cShe Taught Love\u201d), Sophie Willan (\u201cAlma\u2019s Not Normal\u201d, \u201cLudwig\u201d), Gemma Whelan (\u201cGame of Thrones,\u201d \u201cKilling Eve\u201d) and Timothy Spall (\u201cThe Sixth Commandment,\u201d \u201cGoodbye June\u201d). <\/p>\n

\n\tThe official description for the series reads, \u201cOn the State Opening of Parliament, British spy Harry Jones (Idris) finds himself inside the iconic building amidst a lockdown. As the siege escalates, loyalties are tested and selfless sacrifices are made, leading to a desperate fight for survival where not everyone will emerge alive. Can Harry use his skills and training to be the country\u2019s saviour?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe Lord\u2019s Day\u201d is being produced by Bad Wolf, the production company behind \u201cIndustry,\u201d \u201cHis Dark Materials,\u201d \u201cThe Other Bennett Sister\u201d and recently co-producers on the last two seasons of \u201cDoctor Who.\u201d Alongside his starring role, Idris also executive produces alongside Jane Tranter and Dan McCulloch for Bad Wolf as well as lead writers Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley and director Ben Chanan. <\/p>\n

\n\tOther credits for Scholey include a lead role in Channel 4 hit drama \u201cThe Couple Next Door\u201d and Janis Pugh\u2019s Welsh romantic comedy-musical film \u201cChuck Chuck Baby,\u201d which won the Bafta Cymru for best feature \/ TV film. In 2023, she starred opposite her \u201cThe Lord\u2019s Day\u201d co-star Spall in the BBC\u2019s acclaimed true-crime drama \u201cThe Sixth Commandment,\u201d which won the BAFTA for best limited drama.<\/p>\n
