Wagner, with Ward also locked in as showrunner. Hughes and Ward previously worked together on \u201cThe Continental,\u201d the \u201cJohn Wick\u201d prequel event series that aired on Peacock. \u201cJakarta\u201d marks their second collaboration, this time pairing Ward\u2019s drama-writing background with Hughes\u2019 feature filmmaking credentials to create what the producers are positioning as a grounded, visceral crime epic.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tUwais will executive produce through his Uwais Pictures banner alongside Ryan Santoso. Ward is represented by Gersh, and Wagner by Gersh and Lit Entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe action star is also set to lead John Radel\u2019s \u201cWarrior,\u201d an Indonesian action thriller that brings him back to the Silat-based fighting style that launched his career, and hospital siege thriller \u201cMRI,\u201d\u00a0with Liam O\u2019Donnell (\u201cAlphas\u201d) directing.
