\n\tBased on Lisa O\u2019Donnell\u2019s novel \u201cClosed Doors,\u201d the film follows a 12-year-old boy attempting to solve a mystery while navigating the impact of the secrets kept by the adults in his life.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film, which is set for theatrical release in August, stars Carol Kane (\u201cAnnie Hall\u201d), Etienne Kellici (\u201cReady or Not\u201d), Allison Miller (\u201c13 Reasons Why\u201d), Bill Heck (\u201cThe Leftovers\u201d), Christopher Jackson (\u201cHamilton\u201d) and Carmela Zumbado (\u201cYou\u201d). The ensemble cast is rounded out by Kennedi Butler, McKenzie Hays, Tiegen Fryberger and Zelalem Oestreich.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIn making \u2018If I Tell You,\u2019 I was driven to bring the beauty, suspense and emotional depth of Lisa O\u2019Donnell\u2019s novel \u2018Closed Doors\u2019 to the screen. Through the eyes of a boy on the precipice of adolescence, the film explores the fragile space between certainty and mystery, inviting us to confront the complicated truth \u2014 that justice is an illusion while our connection to each other endures,\u201d Blake said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film, which was previously titled \u201cBoundary Waters,\u201d marks Blake\u2019s feature directorial debut and was adapted to screen by Jennifer Manocherian and Blake. Ignite Studio\u2019s Erin Mae Miller and Manocherian of Dog Lives Productions are producing.<\/p>\n
