\n\t\u201cIn classic form, he was watching England vs. Argentina,\u201d Fineman told Variety<\/em> at Monday night\u2019s premiere of Apple TV\u2019s \u201cThe Dink\u201d in Los Angeles. \u201cHe was like, \u2018I\u2019ll call you back. I\u2019m a the game.\u2019 And I was like, \u2018The soccer game?\u2019 Then I made a joke, I was like, \u2018I assume you\u2019re rooting for England because you\u2019re energetically very British.\u2019 Then he called me back, and we had a really lovely chat.\u201d \n\n\t\n\n<\/p>\n

\n\tFineman also shared that when the news of her \u201cSNL\u201d exit went live, she was very emotional.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI cried when it was announced,\u201d she said. \u201cYou really become a family [with the cast]\u2026 I wept when Colin Jost called me today, like, they really are my family. I\u2019m happy that after seven years, I leave on a high note.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tFineman announced on July 16 that she was exiting the show. \u201cAfter 7 wonderful seasons at \u2018SNL\u2019 I have decided it\u2019s time for my next chapter,\u201d Fineman wrote in an\u00a0Instagram post. She concluded, \u201cIt\u2019s really hard to leave \u2018SNL\u2019 but it does feel like the right time. I\u2019m going to miss it a lot. But the people who work there are my family and that place is my home, and I know I\u2019ll never be too far away.\u201d<\/p>

\n\tThe actor-comedian joined \u201cSNL\u201d in 2019. She quickly became known for her range of impressions, which included Jennifer Coolidge, Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet, Drew Barrymore, Britney Spears and JoJo Siwa.<\/p>\n

\n\tFineman\u2019s first post-\u201cSNL\u201d gig will be as a series regular role in the \u201cMyron Bolitar\u201d series currently in the works at\u00a0Netflix. Series regulars will also include\u00a0Jabari Banks\u00a0(\u201cBel Air\u201d) and Jamie McShane (\u201cTask,\u201d \u201cWednesday\u201d).\u00a0Ben McKenzie\u00a0(\u201cEveryone is Lying to You for Money,\u201d \u201cGotham\u201d) will appear in a recurring guest star role.\n\n\t\n<\/p>\n

\n\tSeries leads include Colin Woodell, KJ Apa, and Diane Guerrero. Netflix originally\u00a0announced the series pickup in May\u00a0as part of their upfront presentation to advertisers. The show is inspired by Harlan Coben\u2019s popular Myron Bolitar books, of which 12 have been published. The logline for the show states, \u201cAfter an injury ends his NBA dreams, Myron Bolitar (Woodell) reinvents himself as a sports agent \u2014 using charm, smarts, and a ruthless partner to navigate the high-stakes and dirty world of sports, where saving his clients often means risking himself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition to Fineman, the cast of \u201cThe Dink,\u201d a sports comedy about pickleball, includes Jake Johnson, Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor, Patton Oswalt, Martin Kove, Mary Steenburgen and Ed Harris, as well as tennis legends Andy Roddick and John McEnroe.<\/p>
