\nEd Harris does not sound satisfied with his role on \u201cDutton Ranch.\u201d At the Monday night premiere of Apple TV\u2019s \u201cThe Dink,\u201d Harris told Variety<\/em>\u2018s Marc Malkin that he felt \u201cmisled\u201d about the importance of his role in the \u201cYellowstone\u201d spinoff, and that halfway through filming Season 1, he was telling his team to \u201cget me the fuck out of here.\u201d<\/p>

\n\t\u201cPrior to signing on for it, I was talked to quite a bit about what the season was, and what my character was going to do \u2014 and that I was one of the four main characters,\u201d Harris said. \u201cAnd that wasn\u2019t really the case.\u201d\n\n\t\n\n<\/p>\n

\n\tSpokespeople for Paramount, series creator Taylor Sheridan and 101 Studios did not immediately respond to Variety<\/em>\u2018s request for comment.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n

\n\tHarris said he expressed his discontent, but did not name Sheridan. \u201cI said, \u2018I\u2019m feeling underused and inconsequential,\u2019 and they kind of went, \u2018Oh,’\u201d Harris added. \u201cI\u2019m being told my character will have a little bit more to do [in Season 2]. I was just a little frustrated, to tell you the truth.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tHarris explained that when he actually watched \u201cDutton Ranch,\u201d he thought it was \u201cpretty good,\u201d and he felt his character was \u201crelatively important to the story.\u201d However, during filming, \u201cit didn\u2019t feel that way.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tOn \u201cDutton Ranch,\u201d Harris plays Everett McKinney, a good-humored veterinarian. Harris is currently signed on for two seasons. While Harris suggested he was ready to walk away from \u201cDutton Ranch,\u201d it is unclear if he is actually looking to exit the show.<\/p>

\n\tThe \u201cApollo 13\u201d star then recalled filming a scene where his character sings in a bar, only to have the moment cut from the show. Harris said that \u201creally pissed him off.\u201d \n\n\t\n<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSo there\u2019s this scene in there \u2026 I\u2019m talking to [Beth Dutton] at the bar, and [Rip Wheeler] comes in and says, \u2018OK, Everett, come on, it\u2019s your turn,\u201d Harris said. \u201cI walk up to the mic, and they cut it. They cut the song out. I\u2019m going, \u2018Fuck you, people.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHarris remembered the production telling him they cut the moment because it was \u201ctoo \u2018up\u2019 for the dark ending of that episode.\u201d But Harris said, at the time, he felt like that was \u201cenough reason to say I\u2019m voiding my contract.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDutton Ranch\u201d launched its series premiere on Paramount+ on May 15. The show follows Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) as they leave Montana to build their own ranch in South Texas. Other cast members include Finn Little, Juan Pablo Raba, Jai Courtney, J.R. Villarreal, Marc Menchaca, Natalie Alyn Lind and Annette Bening.<\/p>
