\n\tMary Kate Golding, a set decorator for shows including \u201cThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,\u201d \u201cGoosebumps\u201d and \u201cMr. and Mrs. Smith\u201d died Tuesday in Queens, N.Y. after being stabbed. She was 34. <\/p>\n

\n\tPolice were called to her apartment just after midnight. The NYPD said in a statement, \u201cOn Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at approximately 0024 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault inside of 18-64 41 Street, within the confines of the 114 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 34-year-old female victim with a stab wound to the back. EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tA few hours later, Golding\u2019s husband, Joseph Azzaretto, was found dead by hanging at Astoria Park around 6:39 a.m. A murder-suicide is suspected, according to multiple media reports. The couple\u2019s baby son was found at their home, but was not hurt. <\/p>\n

\n\tThe NYPD said, \u201cOn Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at approximately 0639 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an unconscious person in the vicinity of Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard, within the confines of the 114th Precinct. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unidentified male, approximately 30 to 35 years of age, unconscious and unresponsive inside the park. EMS responded and pronounced the male deceased on scene.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGolding was set to work on Sean Durkin\u2019s upcoming film \u201cDeep Cuts.\u201d Her previous credits as a set decorator include \u201cGone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer,\u201d \u201cFull Circle,\u201d \u201cExtrapolations,\u201d \u201cMarry Me\u201d and \u201cHawkeye.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter attending NYU, her first credit came as an assistant on Michael Showalter\u2019s \u201cThe Big Sick,\u201d and she went on to work on \u201cTime After Time,\u201d \u201cAn Imperfect Murder,\u201d \u201cCruise,\u201d \u201cDeception,\u201d \u201cGotham,\u201d \u201cLisey\u2019s Story\u201d and \u201cThe Flight Attendant.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tYears earlier, Azzaretto\u2019s brother shot his father, Frank Azzaretto, dead during a fight with his mother, the Daily News reported. Frank Azzaretto had worked in the art department on the \u201cDaredevil\u201d TV series and on \u201cUnforgettable.\u201d<\/p>\n
