All eight episodes of the series will debut on Oct. 7.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/relocationobserver.com\/?p=4933\">Ryan Gosling to Star in Marvel\u2019s Ghost Rider Movie<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe series is a \u201cbold and timely reimagining of the story of misfit high-schooler Carrie White, who has spent her life in seclusion with her domineering mother,\u201d the logline teases. \u201cAfter her father\u2019s sudden and untimely death, Carrie finds herself contending with the alien landscape of public high school, a bullying scandal that shatters her community, and the emergence of mysterious telekinetic powers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSummer H. Howell will play Carrie White, with Siena Agudong as Sue Snell and Matthew Lillard as Principle Grayle. Also starring in the series are Samantha Sloyan as Margaret White, Alison Thornton as Chris Hargensen, Thalia Dudek as Emaline, Amber Midthunder as Miss Desjardin, Josie Totah as Tina, Arthur Conti as Billy and Joel Oulette as Tommy.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tMike Flanagan serves as the writer, executive producer, showrunner and director, with Trevor Macy executive producing and Amazon MGM Studios producing.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/relocationobserver.com\/?p=4931\">\u2018Coyote vs. Acme\u2019 Director and Star Lana Condor on Finally Showing Their Film to the Fans at Comic-Con: \u2018The Fight Was For a Good Reason\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\tThis is far from Howell\u2019s first horror project, as she\u2019s previously appeared in \u201cCurse of Chucky,\u201d \u201cCult of Chucky,\u201d \u201cHunter Hunter,\u201d \u201cSpirit in the Blood,\u201d \u201cTime Cut,\u201d \u201cHarland Manor\u201d and \u201cChannel Zero.\u201d Sloyan and Flanagan have been long-time collaborators, with Sloyan previously starring in Flanagan\u2019s \u201cThe Haunting of Hill House,\u201d \u201cThe Fall of the House of Usher,\u201d \u201cThe Midnight Club,\u201d \u201cMidnight Mass\u201d and \u201cHush.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cCarrie\u201d will consist of eight episodes and was first reported to be in development in Oct. 2024. The series was officially greenlit by Amazon in April 2025.
