\n\tDaniel J. Kim (\u201cCobra Kai\u201d) and Danielle Kennedy (\u201cThe \u2019Burbs\u201d) have joined the cast of\u00a0\u201cDrive Thru Magic,\u201d the upcoming scripted fiction podcast from actor, writer and director\u00a0Briggon\u00a0Snow\u00a0(\u201cThe Bright Sessions\u201d).<\/p>

\n\tThe project is produced by Atypical Artists and executive produced by Lauren Shippen.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDrive Thru Magic\u201d\u00a0is a gay romance drama set against the unlikely backdrop of a roadside drive-thru, where two men find each other in the small, repeated moments between a menu speaker box and a car.\n\n\t\n\n<\/p>\n

\n\tThe first episodes will drop Sept. 7 on all podcast platforms.\n\n\n\n<\/p>\n

\n\tKim will voice Louie, a pre-med student passing time in a drive-thru job, who falls for a repeat customer.\u00a0Snow\u00a0will also star as Gabe, a young man caring for his grandmother as she loses herself to dementia, who finds an unexpected anchor in the voice on the other side of the speaker. Kennedy will play Barb, a biting, no-nonsense drive-thru lifer and the closest thing Louie has to a friend.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m so thrilled to have Daniel and Danielle helping me tell this story,\u201d Snow said in a statement. \u201cI started working on this back in 2024 and kept walking away because it was at times a little too close. It\u2019s rooted in something I\u2019m still living through, but pushing through and creating this show has sort of been my way of facing hard loss and change. I wove it into a gay love story because grief needs somewhere to live, and love felt like the right place.\u201d<\/p>
