The company has campaigned over 800 openings for films like \u201cCrazy Rich Asians\u201d and \u201cEverything Everywhere All At Once.\u201d With Gold House Studios, its focus will be on developing and producing original and IP-driven stories across film, television, and digital media.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tGold House Studios will be led by Gold House veterans Christine Yi and Brian Nemes, with Yi heading the studio and Nemes leading IP and Development. Both will serve as producers for all projects on the Gold House Studio\u2019s slate.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cToo many great films pull off a small miracle to get made only to go unseen,\u201d says Yi, who previously led operations at Gold House Ventures, Gold House\u2019s tech VC fund, and still acts as General Manager of Gold House Labs, the foundation\u2019s talent development programs. \u201cAs an impact-driven company, one of our top priorities is to develop compelling stories with leading roles for Asian Pacific talent and rich, nuanced, cultural context that feels novel or unexpected. But our highest priority measure of \u2018impact\u2019 will be our ability to reach audiences and resonate well beyond our own community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe slate leads with \u201cAkiya\u201d starring Karen Fukuhara (\u201cThe Boys\u201d) and Robbie Amell (\u201cUpload,\u201d \u201cCode 8\u201d), which follows a married couple who move to Japan to renovate an \u201cakiya\u201d, an unoccupied countryside home, only to discover the house is haunted by Japanese folklore creatures called y\u014dkai and a demon woman named Yotsume Baba. In another partnership with Ranger 7, JEA, and Striker Entertainment, Gold House has secured film rights to \u201cSlitterhead,\u201d the cult Japanese game from Bokeh Game Studio created by Keiichiro Toyama, creator of Silent Hill. Gold House has indicated many more IP-inspired projects are in the pipeline, though details remain under wraps.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tOn the unscripted side, Gold House has a digital series set to begin filming in New York City later this year.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t Prior work in financing and production include Sean Wang\u2019s \u201cDidi,\u201d Vera Miao\u2019s \u201cRock Springs,\u201d and Grammy winner Laufey\u2019s music video for \u201cMadwoman.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cFor years, Gold House has helped prove that culture isn\u2019t a niche nor decorative\u2014it\u2019s mainstream infrastructure.
