{"id":5111,"date":"2026-07-29T10:36:23","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T10:36:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/relocationobserver.com\/?p=5111"},"modified":"2026-07-29T10:36:23","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T10:36:23","slug":"banijay-entertainment-h1-revenues-dip-in-first-earnings-update-since-completion-of-all3media-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/relocationobserver.com\/?p=5111","title":{"rendered":"Banijay Entertainment H1 Revenues Dip in First Earnings Update Since Completion of All3Media Deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>\n<!-- do not apply CSS styles to this element! --><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\nBanijay Entertainment has posted it first financials since its mega-merger with All3Media was completed.<\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/relocationobserver.com\/?p=5109\">Kavinsky, French Producer and DJ Behind \u2018Drive\u2019 Opening Song \u2018Nightcall,\u2019 Dies at 50<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\tHalf-year revenues at the TV giant were down slightly in the first half of 2026, reaching at \u20ac1.37 billion ($1.56 billion), with production volume falling, a drop of 2.2% on the same six months in 2025. <\/p>\n<p>\n\tHowever, the latest results do not yet include the performance of All3Media, whose figures will be included as part of the results from the second half of this year.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tMeanwhile, Banijay Entertainment\u2019s production revenue dropped 11.9 percent, with the company citing \u201canticipated phasing in production.\u201d But distribution revenue rose 10.5 percent, something it said was \u201cfueled in particular by a format sale in the first quarter\u201d without detailing the particular format in question. <\/p>\n<p>\n\tThere was an unprecedented growth in Banijay\u2019s live event business, which is grouped with Banijay Entertainment, where revenues soar almost 50% thanks to both the Winter Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup. <\/p>\n<p>Read more <a href=\"https:\/\/relocationobserver.com\/?p=5107\">Jared Leto Accused of Criminal Sexual Conduct by Four Women in BBC Documentary<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u00a0\u201cThe FIFA World Cup generated unprecedented player acquisition and engagement, supported double-digit pro forma revenue growth and strengthened our ability to grow across all products,\u201d the company said. \u201cIn Entertainment &amp; Live, record live activity and continued momentum across our content portfolio in distribution partly offset the anticipated phasing of content production, demonstrating the strength and diversification of our business model.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tEarlier this month, Banijay completed the merger of its entertainment arm with RedBird IMI\u2019s All3Media to create an $8 billion Goliath, with the combined group \u2014\u00a0housing shows such as \u201cThe Traitors,\u201d \u201cBig Brother\u201d and \u201cPeaky Blinders\u201d \u2014\u00a0spanning 25 territories and housing one of the largest content catalogues in the industry, with more than 265,000 hours of content.
