Eleazar and Huppert will each be honored with the TIFF Tribute Performer Award, while Lee will take the TIFF Ebert Director Award. Heder, whose \u201cBeing Heumann\u201d is this year\u2019s opening night selection, will receive the TIFF Tribute Award in impact media.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cNow in its eighth year, the TIFF Tribute Awards celebrate some of cinema\u2019s most exciting artists at an event dedicated to the transformative power of film,\u201d says Cameron Bailey, CEO of TIFF. \u201cFrom the captivating performances of Isabelle Huppert, Pen\u00e9lope Cruz and Rosalind Eleazar to Lee Chang-dong and Si\u00e2n Heder\u2019s vital filmmaking, each has shown a profound impact on screen storytelling. It\u2019s our privilege to recognize their achievements as we gather to celebrate another exceptional year in film and rally support for TIFF\u2019s ongoing work.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tCruz arrives in Toronto with two titles including the Spanish-language drama \u201cLa Bola Negra\u201d which premiered at Cannes, where directors Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi won best director. She also stars opposite Oscar winner Javier Bardem in \u201cBunker,\u201d from writer-director Florian Zeller, the Oscar-winning scribe of \u201cThe Father\u201d (2020).<\/p>\n<p>\n\tLee returns to the festival with the Special Presentations premiere of \u201cPossible Love,\u201d his first feature since \u201cBurning\u201d in 2018. Eleazar, the breakout of Apple TV\u2019s \u201cSlow Horses,\u201d appears in \u201cMisty Green,\u201d which Chris Rock wrote and directed.
