\nGunship is back with a spooky new music video.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe trio\u2019s visual is for their cover of Cyndi Lauper\u2019s iconic \u201cTime After Time,\u201d which is featured on the soundtrack of Corin Hardy\u2019s recent horror film \u201cWhistle.\u201d Hardy also directs the music video, which consists of previously unseen footage from the film.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWorking with Corin is a total dream,\u201d Gunship said in a statement. \u201cHe\u2019s an old friend who we bonded with over our love for cinema and music, and we were honored to have our song featured in the film. After the \u2018Whistle\u2019 premiere, we were chatting over a pint, and he told us about a beautiful pseudo \u2018one shot\u2019 sequence he was heartbroken to lose in the final film. We suggested resurrecting it and using it as a music video. Corin got it immediately and the result is perfect. It\u2019s heartbreaking, haunting and pure \u201980s noir soaked.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI wanted \u2018Whistle\u2019 to feel like a horror movie I might have watched around the late 1980s, alongside films like \u2018A Nightmare on Elm Street,\u2019 \u2018The Lost Boys\u2019 and \u2018The Breakfast Club,\u2019\u201d Hardy also added in a statement. \u201cFilms steeped in teen angst and heightened feelings. Music was such a huge part of creating the romance of those cinematic worlds. Gunship\u2019s synth-drenched cover of Cyndi Lauper\u2019s \u2018Time After Time\u2019 was always top of my list. Their unique heart-on-your-sleeve sound was the perfect choice for a key moment in the movie. To come together post-release and create this extended music video is simply the cherry on top. Dan, Al & Al (Gunship) have provided the film a real companion piece in the world of \u2018Whistle\u2019 \u2026 it makes me want my MTV again!\u201d<\/p>\n
