\n\tOne of the most prestigious new talent spreads in Europe, New Directors will open with \u201cThe Bad Son\u201d (\u201cEl mal hijo\u201d), the debut feature film as a director of \u201cMoney Heist\u201d star Jaime Lorente, and close with Lumby\u2019s \u201cFlorid,\u201d which marks the feature debut of Lumby, whose second short, \u201cSamuel 613,\u201d was nominated for a BAFTA,\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tAs a project, \u201cCute\u201d won the Nordic Talents top prize at Cannes, Its Norwegian director Marlene Emilie Lyngstad and Danish producer Carl Olsb\u00e6k Adelkilde hace already made the joint graduation film \u201cNorwegian Offspring\u201d which scooped Cannes La Cinef first prize and Haugesund\u2019s Next Generation Award marking them out as talent to track.<\/p>\n

\n\tOf New Directors titles announced July 30, there\u2019s also good word on Ayana Nurdinova\u2019s \u201cMugalim,\u201d from Kazakhstan burgeoning film scene, produced by Kazakh Cinema and Art East Films, and \u201cMorro,\u201d a Mexican small town set tale of grief and unlikely friendship.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u00a0San Sebasti\u00e1n\u2019s just announced New Directors entries join three Spanish features announced on July 17: Javier Giner\u2019s \u201cEsa Soledad,\u201d a portrait of Millennial existential emptiness; El mal hijo,\u201d directed by \u201cMoney Heist\u201d star Jaime Lorente, and \u201cFebruary, Seven Days,\u201d\u00a0(\u201cSieben Tage Februar,\u201d), from Tatjana Moutchnik, a family drama unfolding on the eve of Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine.\u00a0<\/p>\n
