\n\tControversial filmmaker Tom Six is saying goodbye to his fans in a very personal way.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe writer-director has announced the release of his final movie, \u201cThe End of Tom Six.\u201d The \u201cHuman Centipede\u201d creator is independently releasing the film on Aug. 15 on YouTube with a pay-what-you-want model. It will also be available on DVD.<\/p>\n

\n\tPer a press release, Six believes his inability to release his film \u201cThe Onania Club,\u201d which featured a trailer with women masturbating to footage of Sept. 11, was a key component of his declining health.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFor 14 years, he lived with multiple sclerosis in complete secrecy,\u201d the statement reads. \u201cAfter the \u2018Human Centipede\u2019 trilogy, he created a satirical new movie called \u2018The Onania Club\u2019 (2019). Despite glowing reviews and fans begging for its release, a film industry dominated by political correctness refused to touch it. The prolonged, extremely stressful battle accelerated his disease and totally ravaged his body up to the point that he is now nearing the end of his life.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs a result, he started documenting his declining health for a film project.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFor six years he has lived in total isolation, confined to darkness in his Amsterdam home, with nothing left to lose and driven by an extreme obsession to create one final time,\u201d the statement continues. \u201cThe hilarious fever-dream like-documentary feature (with actors) is about the absurdity of existence, the film industry, his demise and the restrictions of artistic freedom. \u2018The tortured artist is not a myth.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMaartje Willems and Tom Six are producers on the film from Six Headquarters. In addition to Willems and Six, the cast includes Edwin Alofs, Demian Kurosa and Servaes Nelissen.<\/p>\n
