Studios typically send infringement notices to those posting unauthorized copies, though it can be difficult to keep ahead of the volume of posting for the most popular new films.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSony had no comment. <\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cBrand New Day\u201d is far from the first big-budget film to leak online. Last week, Christopher Nolan\u2019s tentpole \u201cThe Odyssey\u201d leaked on X with its own high-quality bootleg. It reached 2.1 million views within two and a half hours and was eventually taken down with a notice. We take copyright infringement seriously and will pursue all appropriate remedies to protect our content and intellectual property rights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tRegardless of the leak, \u201cBrand New Day\u201d is already doing exceptional business at the box office. It made a record-breaking $72 million in previews, including Tuesday early access screenings \u2014 the most of any movie in history. That placed it above \u201cAvengers: Endgame,\u201d which grossed $60 million in Thursday previews.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cBrand New Day\u201d sees the return of Tom Holland as the famous web-slinger, with Emmy-winner Zendaya returning as MJ.
