\n\tVincent Pastore, who is best known for playing Salvatore \u201cBig Pussy\u201d Bonpensiero on HBO\u2019s \u201cThe Sopranos,\u201d has died, according to TMZ. He was 80.<\/p>\n

\n\tPastore was a key player on the first two seasons of \u201cThe Sopranos,\u201d and helped deliver one of the mob drama\u2019s most iconic moments. In the show, Big Pussy was part of Tony Soprano\u2019s (James Galdofini) most trusted inner circle, until he started wearing a wire for the FBI. In the Season 2 finale, Tony, along with Silvio (Steven Van Zandt) and Paulie (Tony Sirico), makes the difficult decision to kill him off while out on a boat.<\/p>\n

\n\tPastore was cast as a mobster many times throughout his career. He had small parts in early \u201890s crime dramas like \u201cCarlito\u2019s Way\u201d and \u201cGoodfellas.\u201d He saw his stock rise with a pair of roles in the 1995 film \u201cThe Jerky Boys: The Movie\u201d and HBO\u2019s 1996 TV movie \u201cGotti.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHis other film credits include \u201cShark Tale,\u201d \u201cMickey Blue Eyes,\u201d \u201cWitness to the Mob,\u201d \u201cThe Deli,\u201d \u201cSpinning Gold,\u201d \u201cOnce Upon a Time in Brooklyn,\u201d \u201cRevolver,\u201d \u201cThis Thing of Ours,\u201d \u201cBachelor Party Vegas,\u201d \u201cA Brooklyn State of Mind\u201d and many others. <\/p>\n

\n\tOn the TV side, Pastore appeared on \u201cNew York Undercover,\u201d \u201cLaw & Order,\u201d \u201cBull,\u201d \u201cSon of the Beach,\u201d \u201cQueens Supreme,\u201d \u201cGeneral Hospital\u201d and \u201cPair of Kings.\u201d He was also a contestant on several reality shows, including \u201cDancing With the Stars,\u201d \u201cShark Tank\u201c and \u201cCelebrity Family Feud.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPastore also hosted \u201cThe Wise Guy\u201d show on SiriusXM, which was a weekly three-hour broadcast during which Pastore would interview celebrities and other prominent figures from the Italian-American community.<\/p>\n
