The Playmaker Munich closed the deals for Poland, the Baltics, Japan, Scandinavia and Italy on behalf of Augenschein Sales, and is handling the remaining open territories.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cBloody Tennis\u201d stars Sandra Guldberg Kampp (\u201cFoundation\u201d), Golden Globe nominee Helena Zengel (\u201cNews of the World,\u201d \u201cThe Legend of Ochi\u201d), Tracy Gotoas (\u201cSafe House\u201d), Lucie Zhang (\u201cParis,\u201d \u201c13th District\u201d), Lily Taieb (\u201cThe French Dispatch,\u201d \u201cBergman Island\u201d), Elina L\u00f6wensohn (\u201cSchindler\u2019s List\u201d) and Zlatko Buri\u0107 (\u201cTriangle of Sadness\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe score is by Jim Williams, known for \u201cTitane,\u201d \u201cRaw\u201d and \u201cPossessor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe film takes the world of elite sports to disturbing new extremes, filled with brutal ambition, blood-sucking leeches and hard-hitting serves. After being admitted to an elite tennis academy hidden deep in Southern Europe, Sophie (Guldberg Kampp) must contend not only with the fierce brutality of her teammates but with the school\u2019s increasingly sinister undercurrents, where competitive sports are taken to their painful limits and only the hungriest survive.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe film is produced by Jonas Katzenstein and Maximilian Leo (\u201cThe Weight,\u201d \u201cThe Assessment,\u201d \u201cMother Mary\u201d) of Augenschein in co-production with Port au Prince Film &amp; Kultur Produktion and ZDF. The film was shot in Gran Canaria, Spain and NRW, Germany, with Volcano Films having rendered the Spanish production services. The production was supported by Film-und Medienstiftung NRW and German Federal Film Fund (DFFF) as well as the tax incentive program of the Canary Islands. The German distributor will be Port au Prince. We can\u2019t wait for audiences to finally enter the strange and unsettling world we have created together.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n\tChryssos is an alumnus of the R\u00e9sidence du Festival de Cannes, the Berlinale Talents, the Saatchi &amp; Saatchi New German Directors Showcase and the Masterclass \u201cThe Hollywood Perspective\u201d at UCLA.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn 2012, he founded the production company Kataskop Film, and produced and directed his first feature film, \u201cDer Bunker,\u201d in co-production with Gei\u00dfend\u00f6rfer Film, which premiered at the 65th Berlin Intl. Film Festival, and won the Next Wave Award for best feature at Fantastic Fest in Austin.
