\nVariety<\/em> has announced presenters for its annual Power of Young Hollywood, this year presented by Disney+, taking place on Aug. 5 in Los Angeles. Presenting Tate McRae with the Triple Threat Award will be Madison Beer, and presenting Sombr with the Songwriter of the Year award is Lindsey Buckingham. Tyriq Withers will receive the New Leading Man Award from Kiernan Shipka, and Malachi Barton will be presented the Rising Star Award by Tiffani Thiessen.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe event will be cohosted by Mario Lopez and his son Dominic. A two-time Emmy winner, Mario Lopez hosts NBC\u2019s \u201cAccess Hollywood\u201d and \u201cAccess Daily\u201d concurrently with the national iHeart radio programs \u201cOn with Mario & Courtney Lopez\u201d and \u201ciHeartRadio Countdown with Mario Lopez.\u201d His son, Dominic Lopez, is a rising young actor who can be seen on CBS\u2019s \u201cMatlock,\u201d Netflix\u2019s \u201cThe Lincoln Lawyer\u201d and indie films \u201cBad Counselors\u201d and \u201cLast Shot.\u201d Mario and Dominic will star together alongside Tony Danza in the upcoming holiday film \u201cChristmas at Starlight.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tA two-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, Beer recently concluded her 32-date Locket Tour across Europe and North America following the release of her deluxe album \u201cLocket\u201d earlier this summer. Beer got her start posting viral covers on YouTube and has since released an EP and three studio albums, the second of which earned her her first Grammy nomination for Best Immersive Audio Album in 2024. In 2025, she was nominated again for her single \u201cMake You Mine,\u201d for which she also won Pop-Dance Anthem of the Year at the Electronic Music Dance Awards.<\/p>\n

\n\tJoining Fleetwood Mac in 1975 as guitarist, co-lead singer and later, producer, Buckingham helped turn the band into one of the greatest stories in music with their 1977 album \u201cRumours,\u201d one of the best-selling albums of all time. Beyond Fleetwood Mac, Buckingham has released several solo albums showcasing his experimental production style, including \u201cLaw and Order\u201d, \u2018\u2019Go Insane\u2019\u2019 and \u201cGift of Screws\u201d. Buckingham was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Fleetwood Mac in 1998.<\/p>\n

\n\tShipka first gained widespread recognition as Sally Draper on AMC\u2019s \u201cMad Men\u201d before starring as Sabrina Spellman in Netflix\u2019s \u201cChilling Adventures of Sabrina.\u201d Since then, she has built a distinctive career across film and television. Her recent credits include \u201cLonglegs,\u201d \u201cTwisters,\u201d \u201cThe Last Showgirl,\u201d and HBO\u2019s\u201d Industry.\u201d She will next be seen in \u201cIdiots,\u201d directed by Macon Blair, alongside Dave Franco, O\u2019Shea Jackson Jr., and Mason Thames. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and opens in theaters on August 28.<\/p>\n

\n\tThiessen is known for her iconic role as Kelly Kapowski on \u201cSaved by the Bell,\u201d as well as roles on \u201cWhite Collar\u201d and \u201cAlexa & Katie,\u201d for which she earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress. Thiessen, along with honoree Barton, will be starring in the upcoming supernatural comedy-drama \u201cCoven Academy\u201d on Disney Channel and Disney+.<\/p>\n

\n\tFor the first time in the event\u2019s history, Variety<\/em>\u2018s Power of Young Hollywood will feature a live musical performance, presented by Amazon Music\u2019s Breakthrough program. Amazon Music\u2019s newest Breakthrough artist, acclaimed singer-songwriter Sienna Spiro, will perform \u201cPure\u201d from her debut album, \u201cVisitor,\u201d ahead of her sold-out global headline \u201cMy House\u201d tour kicking off this fall.<\/p>\n
