She also served as the official emcee of the 77th Venice International Film Festival.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cCommon Story\u201d is the tale of Erika, played by Rohrwacher \u2013 whose credits include Pablo Larra\u00edn\u2019s \u201cMaria\u201d and who served on the 2025 Cannes competition jury panel \u2013 and Mauro, played by Guido Caprino (\u201cThe Art of Joy\u201d) whose simple life in the countryside is disrupted when their daughter Irene leaves to go to university abroad. Their house feels empty, and the balance on which this couple had based their lives seems to crumble. \u201cThis profound, intimate crisis will push them to really look at one another and understand if and how they can transform themselves and, consequently, their love,\u201d says the synopsis.<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\u201cCommon Story\u201d will world premiere in September at Venice\u2019s Horizons section, followed by a North-American launch in Toronto\u2019s Discovery section.<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFoglietta\u2019s directorial debut is produced by Italy\u2019s HT Film, Indigo Film, Tenderstories and Blu One Lab with support from RAI Cinema and HBO Max also on board.
